Scripture for the Day Oct 15th 2020: God embraces Capitalism

Devotional

Matthew 25:13 - 25:30
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Read these verses in context.
A business owner goes on an extended business trip. He leaves his employees with a certain amount of money. One with ten, one with five, and the other with one Talent.  The two who received 10 and 5 Talents doubled the amount by investing them. The employee with one Talent buried it with no return. The two who doubled the money received huge rewards. The one who didn't, was fired.

These were not the talents of a musician, craftsman or the like. The apostle Peter speaks of money here. In the old Testament, a Talent was the measure of weight for gold and silver. In the first century, a talent measured the weight of coins. One Talent weighed about 75 lbs or 35 kgs. It was Money.

Whenever the enemies of God claim God is this or that, the opposite is true. When claiming Jesus was a socialist, the enemies love to point to Acts 2:45. Besides, they claim they don't believe in God. They can't have it both ways.

Yes, when the church formed after the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus, people sold their possessions and shared everything they had with those in need. See Acts 2:45-47. But did you notice? Peter and the Apostles forced no one to sell their goods. The church leaders coerced not one person. It was a choice. It was charity, not robbery through taxation.

But Jesus was also against crony capitalism. Do you recall the story where Jesus overturns the tables of the money exchangers. He even made a whip and drove them out of the court of the Temple.

John 2:15.
“And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;”

Proverbs 11:1
“A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.”

God wants us to prosper. The enemies of God want us to slave in perpetual dependence on them.

2 Thessalonians 3:10
“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”

We prosper when we create value for ourselves and our loved ones, and when we help those who are in need. That's love, something Democrats, Globalists, Technocrats and the Neo-Feudalists know nothing about.

God is a Capitalist. Jesus embraces value creation through work and ingenuity and love. He hates oppressive dependence on the state, but calls on us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. It is, in a way, God's Declaration of Independence. Break free, too, from the slavery of leftism and feudalism. Choose God's way, and when you do, you cannot but vote Trump 2020.

May Jesus bless you and your loved ones.

BIDEN’S FOLLYTHE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCESWhat it Means to Eliminate the Oil Industry Among Other ThingsBy E.P. Unum I wrote this essay back in the summer of 2020. Now that Joe Biden is President, it bears repeating because much of what feared has, sadly, already taken place. Many Democrats and Liberals like to shout and scream about how we all need to become more climate-conscious. They like to march down streets and wave their placards and makeshift flags about the need to eliminate fracking and do away with fossil fuels. Make no mistake, the self-anointed leader of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden promised during his Presidential campaign that he would not "do away with fracking or oi
