Scripture for the Day Nov 21st 2020: Killing Sacred Cows -- Taxes, Sickness, and Death

Tax Slavery

When I hear the worldly phrase "Nothing is certain but death and taxes." I cringe. Because it is a lie from the pit of h e l l. I am saddened, especially when Christians eagerly nod their heads. They have no wisdom, no knowledge, and no faith. Most taxes represent legalized (unlawful) theft. People vote those into power who tax them to death. Just because someone issues a law doesn't mean it is lawful. Democrats and Liberals take note: Income taxes are the ultimate form of slavery. Criminal Biden and his cabal want to impose a $200 tax per annum for every gun owned by Americans. He clearly doesn't understand inalienable rights.  

Healing Power

How about sickness and death? Despite the LORD telling us in:

Isaiah 53:3
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.
(1 Peter 2:24)

...people continue to suffer and often die needlessly. I no longer go to a physical church, because there are none that preach the unadulterated Word of God where I live. They are 503Cs who have sold their souls to a worldly government instead of declaring Jesus King. It is NOT God's will that we suffer illness.

3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

I have been part of a healing ministry for a decade. They don't accept money for healing. I have seen healing and recovery miracles, and I, too, command them frequently. This is not because I am special. God's Word is, and His love and mercy are! Even though 1 Corinthians 12:8-9 talks about the gift of healing, every believer who wishes to exercise it can claim it. How can I say that? Because the LORD has delegated His authority to us!

Matthew 10:1
Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

Every kind of disease. Not some. Not a few. Every kind! This means ALL!

Tough Love - Let's Kill Some Sacred Cows

It saddens me when churches and Christians deny the power of God's healing. They argue that Jesus gave His authority (Matthew 10) to His disciples for a limited time. But the Bible doesn't say that anywhere. If you don't see yourself as a disciple of Jesus (being disciplined in following the LORD), I ask you to check your heart and find out if you are saved. I don't mince words. Truth can hurt, but it always prevails. Godly love is tough love. Let me add another Scripture for those who disagree.

Mark 16:15-18
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.”

Note that some Bibles, notably the NIV, cut Mark 16:9-20 from their versions, claiming it was added at a later point. Oh LORD. Thank you for the more accurate translations!

And why does healing work for some and not for others?

Is your name written in the Book of Life? There is causality in the next verse. Read carefully. Only those who are saved have Jesus' authority. 

Luke 10:18-19
18 So He told them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Again, Jesus delegated His authority to those whose name is written in heaven (in the Book of Life, Psalm 69:28, Philippians 4:3, Mark 12:26, Revelation 3:5, Revelation 13:8, Revelation 20:12, Revelation 20:15). For those who still doubt in their heart, let me add on more verse:

John 14:12
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

Even greater works than Jesus we can do? Yes. Because Jesus said so! 

Has Jesus healed the sick? Has He raised the dead? Has He cast out demons? Has He performed miracles too many to record in the Bible? And Christians try to tell me the flu is part of life and has to run its course. NO, brothers and sisters. It doesn't. Your unbelief allows it to run its course. 

The Words of the LORD are unambiguous:

Philippians 2:9-10
9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

If it has a name, we can command it in the name of Jesus by the authority delegated to us by Jesus. Simple!

John 21:25
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.

And you, too, could save and improve countless lives if you believed Jesus' Word. But do you really?

Matthew 17:9-20
19 Afterward the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” 20 “Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

That the Lord would speak into the minds of those who have not sold out to evil, giving them eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart of understanding. Pray for our President and his team as they travail bringing forth the truth. Pray for alternative platforms for those whose voices are being silenced.
