Scripture for the Day Dec 1st 2020: The Unpardonable Sin
No matter what your past, regardless of what you may have done, there is no sin God doesn't forgive if you confess Jesus. There is one, though, He doesn't forgive. It is the unpardonable sin.
Mark 3:28
28 “I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven,
29 but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences.”
What does it mean? It simply refers to denying Jesus, who sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter in His place. Don't be that person! The fact is, nothing can separate us from God's love.
Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love Romans 8:31-39 (NLT, NASB)
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself.
34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a])
37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
There are no orphans in God's Kingdom. If you are not right with Jesus today, come and pray the prayer below now. It is no accident that you're reading this.
Who here among us has not been broken
Who here among us is without guilt or pain
So oft' abandoned by our transgressions
If such a thing as grace exists
Then grace was made for lives like this
There are no strangers
There are no outcasts
There are no orphans of God
So many fallen, but hallelujah
There are no orphans of God
Come ye unwanted and find affection
Come all ye weary, come and lay down your head
Come ye unworthy, you are my brother
If such a thing as grace exists
Then grace was made for lives like this
O blessed Father, look down upon us
We are Your children, we need Your love
We run before Your throne of mercy
And seek Your face to rise above
If you want to give your life to Jesus right now, simply pray this prayer with me:
Dear Lord,
I admit I am a sinner. I have done many things that were wrong.
I am sorry, and I repent of all I have done.
LORD, forgive me all my sins and cleanse me.
I believe You died on the cross and rose again to save me.
You did what I could not do for myself; you conquered sin and death,
I come to you now and humbly ask you to take control of my life;
I surrender to you.
From this day forward, help me live every day for You and in a way that pleases You.
I love You, LORD. Thank You for Your sacrifice.
LORD, let the Holy Spirit dwell in me and never leave me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
