Scripture for the Day Dec 25th 2020: Isaiah 9:6
The Prophecy
Isaiah 9:6 (KJV 1900
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
And the government shall be upon his shoulder:
And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
How did Isaiah know, some 700 years before Jesus' birth?
2 Timothy 3:16
3 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
What an answer!
Let's continue the thought.
The Reason
John 3:12 - 3:21
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
His Authority
Matthew 28:18
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
His Authority Delegated to Us
John 14:12
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Prayer
Let's bow our hearts and pray
Mark 16:15 - 16:20
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
LORD, We honor your birth in our hearts and in deed. I pray that my brothers and sisters and I use the power you have delegated to us as if You stood next to us! Because you, Father, will never leave us nor foresake us. Holy Spirit, please show me where I must do more, Am I using my power to heal the sick? Am I using it to engage in Spiritual Warfare? Am I crushing the enemy with unwavering faith, the absense of fear, using the power Jesus has delegated to me? If not, help me restore is ny faith! Help me understand what you have me do, LORD,
James 2:26
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
In the face of adverse conditions, we are even more determined to crush the enemies of this Republic. the enemies of God, of Life, Liberty the Pursuit of Happiness, the biden clan, the worhtless clintons and their ilk, the Washington establishment, the deep state, the enemies of God. LORD, help me honor you today and always, not only by acknowledging your birth and your sacrifice, but also by your divine Power strengthening my resolve to follow you both in Word and action, to pick up my cross, and to be the Warrior Christ wants me to be. Thank You for Your Life, Your Sacrifice, and for conquering death, O LORD. Your birth is also our birth. What an honor! We humbly pray.
In Jesus' name
Amen
