Daily Devotional Feb 18th 2021: Why - God is Turning Away From Us?

Yesterday, a truth bomb quote by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn found itself pinned on top of the homepage. I didn't know this quote, but I knew of its veracity. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was a Russian author who fought in WWII, was exiled by Stalin and his minions, and rehabilitated after Stalin's death. Mr. Solzhenitsyn lived through communism. 60 Million of his countrymen did not. He studied history, and his insights and revelations highlight the evil of totalitarianism. 

“Men Have Forgotten God” – The Templeton Address

History Proves His Statement

Whenever nations, including Israel, turned their backs on God, God removed His protection from the people.

Russia & the Eastern Bloc

Russia thought of itself as standing above God. So did Satan. Both fell.

Isaiah 14:12 - 14:15
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Europe

Europe has turned her back on God. Today, the European Union is in disarray. They have erected a likeness of the Tower of Babylon in Strassbourg, France. God destroyed the Tower of Babylon and confused the people back then, as He is today in Europe. With few exceptions, their liberal rulers impose insane policies, murderous laws, and unlawful edicts on their subjects, much like the Democrats do under the Bidet (pardon, Biden) regime.

China

Woe to you, rulers of a nation of oppression and death. The people cry out in agony; will You save them, Lord? The church is oppressed and persectuted. Even the moslems are held in concentration camps; their women raped, their men tortured, their children brainwashed. Will you save the righteous in this land, Lord? Woe to the officials in America and elswhere who support your evil, for they are no better. May your projects fail, your resources disappear, and their workers rebel against the evil they commit. Have mercy, O Lord, on the people who lift their hands to you, asking for forgivness and delivery from evil. For your name's sake, Lord, let China be freed from the satanic stronghold the masters excert, and protect all of humanity from the unspeakable evil of the Chinese ruling class.

The United Kingdom

Once the most powerful nation on the planet, having conquered and colonized much of Africa and the Asia Pacific, is a mere shadow of itself. They lost India, the US, even Hongkong. They barely have a grip on Australia, Newzeeland and Canada, seemingly independent nations who also turned away from God. They are a fading shadow of a nation that once embraced God. Britain brought us the King James Bible, the most famous translation in use even today. It is history.

The celebrate their National Health Service NHS in godlike fashion. They worhip the burning of aborted babies to heat their hospitals as reported by the Telegraph. The NHS now is deciding who lives and dies. They issued unlawful edicts to not to rescitute disabled patiens with "COVID".  The also refuse medical treatment if a patient is accused of being 'racist' or 'sexist'. Evil playing God. 

America

Starting in the 1950s, the enemy used godless people to legalize the mass murder of umborn babies. Today, they even murder babies who have been born. In the sixties, the forces of evil started to remove the bible and prayer from the classroom. Today, demonic looking 'transgender' entities brainwash our children into accpetance of perversity. Since this time, statistics show a steady increase in divorce, extra-marital births, an increase in murder and other criminality. Fathers, males in general, are demonized. People are again judged based on the color of their skin. Christians are persecuted. 

The four years of God's reprieve during President Trump's administration were just that, a hint of grace from our Creator. The church has turned its back on God. Will America fall? If the church doesn't stand up for God's righteousness, I would think this is a near certainty. God cannot bless a nation that raises their children believing that killing babies is healthcase, that don't seek His counsel and do what is evil in His sight. God has even dissolved Israel and brought her people into captivity. They, too, did not keep the statues of God.  

Deuteronomy 28:15
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

Do we really expect God to bless this nation when it's a house worse than Sodom and Gomorrah?

The Bible Proves His Statement

From Genesis through to Revelation, the theme is the same: God blesses the nation that keeps His commandments and His statues.

Deuteronomy 28:1
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:” 

Are we lost?

We are surrounded by the lost. It is for each and every Christian to live righeously in God's eyes to be a light for those who live in darkness. Once we do that, we can muster the courage to speak up for God, for His righteousness, and can reject the lies and the silencing of all that is good in God's eyes. It is wise to do so, as history teaches us. There is a reason the enemy wants to erase and rewrite history. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was right:

"Men have forgotten God; that’s why all this has happened." Don't let it happen to us. 

How to Pray

LORD, glory and praise be to You!
LORD, we ask you to open the eyes of every Christian so we may learn from history.

Because few are reading Your Word diligently, they stumble through darkness and trip to their deaths.
LORD, revive the spirit of the lost and instill in them an unquenchable thirst for your Word and a never ending love for your statues,
our beloved United States may be saved for our chidrens' sake and for those who have died defending the godly values of our great country.
Grant us then also courage, LORD, as we trust You with all our hearts.

Let Your Word reign in our hearts now and forever.

Let us commit to you via Proverbs 3:5 - 3:7

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

So we pray this in the precious name of Jesus.
