Daily Devotional Feb 28th 2021: How Can One Not Know?

When I was young, I didn't believe in (the) God. I was big on magic, telepathy, remote viewing, psychology, ghosts and spirits, enlightenment, and self-hypnosis, even Yoga and Reiki. I read a lot. I even tried to read the bible, but nothing made sense to me, and everything sounded alien and out of this world. I remember worshiping a book about self-hypnosis I was reading with great interest; I must have been barely 12. I could surround myself with total DARKNESS while my eyes were fully open. I 'ascended' into 'higher consciousness' while climbing up an imaginary pyramid and bathe in its light. My mother's call to dinner brought me crashing down. With all the spiritual things I experimented with, I believed there was more to life and death than what they taught us in science classes. I always believed that there was a higher power. But I didn't know Jesus until February 19th, 2011. How could I not know?

Psalms 19:1
“(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” 

This higher power I proclaimed had saved my life more than once. Driving on a lonely country road one Sunday afternoon, I had picked up fresh eggs from a rural farm and was on my way back home. I was day-dreaming when a big truck appeared in front of me. I had veered gradually into the left lane. Only a hard steer to the right saved my life that day. In an instant, I was hot and cold at the same time. My body was drenched in sweat, and my life played in front of me in a split second. I had to pull over and recompose myself. I had a guardian angel, and I was certain of it. I had escaped death.

Psalms 91:11
“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” 

Even though I didn't know that verse back then, I knew God had saved me from death that day. I was grateful. But I continued to live my life without searching for God. Even though I grew up in a heathen household, I knew there was (a) god. I just didn't know the God. But God drew me to Him and protected me despite living a life.

With all the things that I have been involved in until February 19th, 2011, I was searching for God. I just didn't know it back then.

Yoga, Martial Arts, and Reiki - Dangerous gods of Old

Martial arts and Yoga are dangerous activities because they are highly spiritual. They originate in eastern religious teachings. Yoga has seven chakras, each promising the practitioner greater enlightenment. But they cause progressive physical and mental (spiritual) harm. Just research the subject. Yoga awakens serpent power. Those who use Yoga are peace-seeking people for the most part. But they have been deceived.

Marital arts allow the athlete to perform superhuman feats. But these amazing powers do not come from God. They are dangerous because we're opening spiritual doorways that may be difficult to close. When we use ungodly powers, we are giving the enemy authority over us.  

Leviticus 19:31
“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.”

In Debt

Reiki promises to heal. It does. But its cure is worse than the illness. Reiki powers are real, and the Reiki master will activate shaman-like energies, but they make the receiver of those powers a debtor to them.

Paid in Full

Jesus promised to heal. He does. But unlike Reiki demons, our heavenly Father doesn't enslave the healed. Jesus' healing powers are real, and the Son of God will activate Life energy, freeing the recipient from an illness; paid in full.

Isaiah 53:5
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” 

1 Peter 2:24
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

I could write pages upon pages on the subject. But there is no need. The information about the dangers of any practice that is not ordained by God is readily available for anyone who is interested. If you are into Yoga, research it. If you are into Martial Arts, research them for their spiritual origins. If you are practicing Reiki, make sure you understand what powers you activate. Do we really need to wonder why the world is going nuts, why people who have good intentions but do not know God, go bananas? Most people, even the do-gooders on the left don't want bad things to happen, but they have been deceived, being drawn into Yoga and Reiki worship and that of other gods and idols. 

Hosea 4:6
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

John 8:12
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
 

Buddha said, I am waiting for the light.
Mohammed said, I am searching for the light.
Jesus said: I am the light.

John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

How to Pray

LORD, You are my only God. Only You shall I worship. 
Forgive me, Father God, for veering off the path You have provided, giving heed to other gods.
Forgive me, LORD, for not doing my homework and blindly following what man said, instead of seeking You.
Help me, LORD, to discern properly all that is uttered by man, so that I may accept or reject their notion based on Your righteousness.
Help me, LORD, to show compassion for those who have fallen to the wayside, who engage in ungodly practices.
Lord, I pray for those who have been deceived, that they, too, may see the way, the truth, the life, and the light that is (in)You.
Thank You, LORD.

Deuteronomy 5:7
“Thou shalt have none other gods before me.” 

And we shall not...
