Daily Devotional March 7th 2021: Jesus Delegated His Authority to US

I sleep well at night, usually. Because I know:

Joshua 21:44
“And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.”

What a promise. Why should I believe it? Well, for one:

Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

It shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it!

The LORD's Word does not go forth in vain. Neither are the prayers of the righteous.

James 5:16
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

The LORD has proven both truths to me countless times. I have found myself in unfavorable situations many times. But God has always come through for me, often attached with a rebuke of my own actions or thinking.

But the faith I have in the LORD (and in Him only) pleases God.

Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Psalms 118:8 - [It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Psalms 118:9 - [It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Micah 7:5 - Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
Jeremiah 17:5 - Thus saith the LORD; Cursed [be] the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Through the knowledge of God, it is EASY to gain discernment. I have found that most news stories and deceptive. Whenever I see someone proclaim to trust in a mortal person more than in God, I KNOW the enemy uses them for his purpose. Even worse, certain people preach to trust in ourselves. Oh, how foolish such advice.  When I read such an article or opinion piece disguised as news, I disregard it.

Galatians 6:3 - For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

In His Truth, I find peace, a peace that I have not known before I came to Jesus. I don't worry; I am not moved, and I do not fear; I simply rebuke the enemy. I can do that because Jesus has given His followers authority over the enemy. The ungodly who follow Satan have given authority to him who lies, steals, destroys, and murders. We can see the pattern exposed in the policies of the politicians who do not fear God.

Philippians 4:7
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

John 14:12 - 14:14
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].

He hasn't made us gods, but He has delegated His authority to us, His believers. With God's power in us, how could we not conquer all fear. How could we not pray in faith, expecting the desired outcome to come to pass? With His authority, how could we not be in total and utter peace regardless of our circumstances?

Are you in peace today?

How to Pray

Call upon the Heavenly Father and pray in the name of Jesus.
Bless God and worship Him before any petition.
Praise God before you ask for anything because He is worthy.
Affirm humbly that the peace of God passeth all understanding in you.
Pray that the LORD shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
Pray that your faith, even though it may be as small as a mustard seed, overcomes all doubt the enemy may try to place in your heart.
Pray without ceasing, communicating night and day with your Creator to know His will, to be edified, and to help those who don't know how to help themselves through Jesus.

Philippians 4:6
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

In Jesus' name
Amen

BIDEN’S FOLLYTHE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCESWhat it Means to Eliminate the Oil Industry Among Other ThingsBy E.P. Unum I wrote this essay back in the summer of 2020. Now that Joe Biden is President, it bears repeating because much of what feared has, sadly, already taken place. Many Democrats and Liberals like to shout and scream about how we all need to become more climate-conscious. They like to march down streets and wave their placards and makeshift flags about the need to eliminate fracking and do away with fossil fuels. Make no mistake, the self-anointed leader of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden promised during his Presidential campaign that he would not "do away with fracking or oi
