It's certainly not the Americans, not even the ones who cast a vote or two for you.    Pastor David Lankford, in this week's sermons Preparing for the Coming Darkness Pt I and II, pointed out that there are different biblical definitions of darkness.We have the darkness of night, the frequency per se, and we have literal darkness. The first is the opposite of light, but the second is a thick darkness that can be felt; it is so heavy, so tangible that people are terrorized, even paralyzed for fear. The Hebrew word for it is עֲרָפֶל (ârā-pêl). The Greek word for it is σκότος (skotos). Let's look at how King Solomon dealt with his brother Adonijah who wanted to overthrow King Solomon and claim kingship for himself. The Bible recounts this story in  1 Kings 1:1 through 1 Kings 2:25.Adonijah was “a very handsome man” (1 Kings 1:6) with a flair for showmanship (1 Kings 1:5), but he also behaved badly. In other words, he was what we would call today a Liberal. On his deathbed, surrounded by his wife and trusted administrative staff, King David crowned his son Solomon lawful King. Solomon had won the election. But Adonijah had other plans. He had schemed to win the hearts and minds of Israel, and people loved him. Even though King David was still alive, Adonijah shamelessly declared throughout the land that he had become King. The people bought it for a time, and the fake King and his followers celebrated, just as Traitor Joe and his minions do today. What Biden doesn't realize is that God's people elected President Trump, just as Adonijah didn't accept that God chose Solomon to be the next King. In my quest to understand God's Word as the Lord wants us to grasp His character and will, I came across a unique translation called The Pure Word by One Path Publishing. This New Testament version is on its way to my home. To have this resource available excites me more than gold or silver ever could.Proverbs 8:19"My fruit is better than gold, even pure gold, And my yield better than choicest silver.On The Pure Word website is a short video that I transcribed for you, because in it, Brent Miller perfectly describes the story of Peter being asked by Jesus three times "Do you love me?" But why three times? The answer fascinates me, and I wanted to share it with you. Here is the narrative of the video. Even I felt sick to my stomach, for a second, until I remembered my faith. As I suspected, the headline was misleading. And (not) surprisingly, the clickbait one-liner was propagated not only by the salivating MSM, but also by conservative and alternative media. Who can you trust but God? No one. At least not in the media. It turned out that the Supreme Court merely rejected an expedited hearing. The case is still on the docket. How irresponsible of the conservative media. Only a little digging into the facts revealed the truth. But I was humbled by the trust I have in God, that, even though my stomach rebelled for a brief moment, I knew, deep inside, that there was more to this, and that we may have to walk through fire, but we shall not be burned.
